Welcome to JOY! We're thrilled you're here. Who would have imagined that a brand that started with simple fimo clay beads would now reach out to you from the other side of the world? We couldn't be happier.

Our Story

In 1985, Dutch designer Jenny de Blecourt embarked on a life-changing journey from the Netherlands to Bali. Surrounded by the enchanting beauty of the Indian Ocean and the lush rice fields, Jenny found inspiration in Balinese fairy tales, the vibrant local culture, and the breathtaking nature. It wasn't long before she began creating unique jewelry, enlisting the help of skilled local craftsmen to bring her designs to life. Today, alongside her talented Balinese staff, Jenny produces stunning necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, and anklets made from 925 sterling silver, often adorned with semi-precious stones.

Our designs are not only a visual delight but also carry profound meanings. Each piece reflects the cycle of life and embodies themes such as luck, magic, dreams, courage, strength, faith, karma, family, friendship, good times, protection, and above all, happiness.

The Right Size

Contrary to popular belief, JOY is not a large multinational corporation. We're a family business with a sizable team dedicated to handcrafting every piece of jewelry. This intimate structure allows us to maintain an open, informal atmosphere while ensuring high-quality, handmade silver jewelry. Our team, brimming with creativity and passion, constantly creates new pieces. Jenny, our founder, remains actively involved, conceptualizing designs and personally overseeing the packaging of each item to ensure it receives the love and attention it deserves.
